Better Giving believes that education is a key pathway to opportunities.
However, access to learning is not always attainable or equitable. 

The statistics are staggering. Two-thirds of schools in the U.S.’s lowest income neighborhoods cannot afford to purchase books at retail prices. 25% of all school-aged children live in households without broadband access or a web-enabled device.  Yet we know that access to books and educational material is the single biggest barrier to literacy development in the U.S. The lack of digital access and skills can severely handicap students, depriving them of a wealth of information and resources that can augment their learning.  We want to help eradicate these disparities.
